Stupidity is obviously rampant in America June 9, 2010 William R. Losey (Somerset, NJ United States) 93 out of 111 found this review helpful
It is difficult to understand how a company such as Amazon, who has benefited tremendously from the existence of the US Constitution and our free enterprise system can claim that the Constitution is not only irreverent, but potentially dangerous to young minds. Obviously, this individual has never read the Constitution. If this disclaimer is not representative of the opinion of Amazon's board of directors, I will suggest that the America hating jerk that wrote this be fired immediately.
Unless, this situation is taken care of, I will no longer purchase anything through Amazon. And that is a promise.
By the way, my Five-Star rating is for arguably the best book ever written. If it wasn't for this document, we might not be allowed to read the Bible.
Perfect example of living rewrite of history by morons! June 8, 2010 D. Bigelow (Indianapolis, IN) 38 out of 50 found this review helpful
I bought 10 copies so that I could hand them out with a big red circle around the preface and a personal note outlining just how far we have come AWAY from the document in their hands!
This is a perfect example of China's Mao and the little Red Book of changing the country's history.
BUY it, mark it up with a warning, give it away to those who you know will appreciate such an excellent example of how socialist progressives try to screw the people over by changing history or minimizing and transforming the facts to fit their policy and agenda!
If you understand this fundmental aspect - you will want this as a collectors item!
What the heck? June 9, 2010 Robert A. Kofford (Tooele, Utah USA) 19 out of 26 found this review helpful
The law of the land up for a PC warning give me a break! The publisher must live and work in another coutry.
Appropriate for our time June 12, 2010 Zagnock (San Antonio, Tx.) 6 out of 8 found this review helpful
This booklet comes with a warning obviously being written by a revisionist. The Constitution is as appropriate today as it was in 1776+. The framers (if you go read their dairies and other letters they wrote at the time) spent hours trying to satisfy conditions that existed and then left open other means by which the document could be updated (Amendments & Constitutional Congress). But hey if you only believe people who do not footnote their work then you'd be able to by ocean front property in Nebraska (meaning you need to READ up before you take the word of anyone). Also another LIE is that the framers were deist, totally wrong they spent several hours praying each morning before beginning their debates. So go on and believe what you want but it is sad that you don't just go to a library and read the books with footnotes backing up their evidence concerning any part of the founding of this nation.
The Manifesto of Liberty---Read it, Keep It. April 5, 2009 Passion for Truth (USA) 22 out of 33 found this review helpful
First of all, Thomas Jefferson did not write the Constitution, though he did write the Declaration of Independence, which outlines the political philosophy that underlines the Constitution.
I recommend people also get The Heritage Guide to the Constitution, Politically Incorrect Guide to the Constitution, Mark Levin's Men in BLack and Liberty and Tyranny, and The Tempting of America By Robert Bork. Get Joseph Story's Commentaries as well as the Federalist Papers, and Origins of American Constitutionalism by Donald Lutz. The Founder's Constitution is also good, it is available inexpensively from the Liberty Fund. It shows the background as to how each aspect of the Constitution was developed--but you want to read the Federalist Papers and Joseph Story for original intent.
At present the socialists in the White House and Congress blatantly ignore THE contract between the American people and their government, which can be amended ONLY by a 3/4 vote of the states or state legislatures, not by a totalitarian President or Congress.
Time to rise up and boot the socialists out and reclaim our God-given and Constitutionally protected rights.
